Counselors
Responsibilities
Counselors should refer to the for more information regarding policies and procedures. The common responsibilities for a counselor can include but are not limited to:
- Communicate to student and parents about what ACCESS offers
- Ensure that students understand the expectations of their ACCESS course
- Ensure student meet the requirements before enrolling them in an ACCESS course
- Effectively use Cross LEA in Powerschool to enroll/un-enroll students in course

Transfer Students
Students may transfer from ACCESS to ACCESS or from in-person instruction to ACCESS.
ACCESS to ACCESS Transfers:
The withdrawing school is responsible for dropping the student from their ACCESS course(s).
The enrolling school must then re-register the student in the same course and section.
In-Person to ACCESS Transfers:
The Support Center requires the following information to process the transfer:
Student's full name
SSID number
Transfer grade
Transfer date

Testing and Exam Policy
All unit tests and exams are password protected and must be proctored by a facilitator. All midterms and finals are required. For more information, please refer to .
Special Education
IEP/504/EL Plans have to be sent through Special Programs by the LEA Special Education
Department.
Special Education Case Mangers should be trained as facilitators in order to monitor
student progress.
